We celebrated this children’s day by dancing together along with many other events. 800 students in our school danced together and it was mainly a student -lead event starting from choreography to executing it on the final day. This idea of dancing together came to us in one of our gender workshops. We felt most of the kids enjoyed dancing but they were shy to dance. Adolescent kids(especially boys!) liked the idea of moving but were conscious of their bodies when they had to move, so we decided that we need to create a safe atmosphere for everyone to groove and move. The idea is just to have fun but these events truly brought out the coordination, cooperation and leadership skills among our school children and we are proud of their efforts for bringing everyone together.
